AIDA TEAM WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2014

BlueWorld is a young association. It was founded in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy) at the end of 2010 by three people who shared a passion and lots of enthusiasm.
BlueWorld aims at becoming a point of reference in the international freediving scene as a freediving school as well as the organizer of international events revolving around this fascinating sport. In the past years BlueWorld has organized many feediving events, conferences and seminars.
BlueWorld is active all year round in 3 swimming pools, and it offers freediving courses as well as indoor and depth amateur and competitive training.
BlueWorld can bank on the long experience of:

Riccardo Mura (Team manager - Trainer), APNEA ACADEMY Instructor since 2004. He spent 10 years in Sharm el Sheikh. There, he met Umberto Pelizzari, and subsequently founded Apnea Academy Red Sea as well as Only One Apnea Center with his partners Marco Nones and Fabio Brucini. Only One was the first diving centre in the world to focus exclusively on freediving, and it was the selected organizer of the biggest world-class freediving events, such as:

- 2007 AIDA World Championship (Individual world championship), with 108 competing athletes.
- 2008 AIDA World Championship (Team world championship), with 103 competing athletes.
- World Records including:
  1. 1. May 2006 Carlos Coste -140 m in Constant Weight.
  2. 2. September 2009 Natalia Molchanova -90 m in Free Immersion.
  3. 3. September 2009 Natalia Molchanova -101 m (the first woman to ever break the wall of -100 m).
  4. 4. 0ctober 2009 Martin Stepanek -110 m in Free Immersion.
  5. 5. 0ctober 2009 Martin Stepanek -122 m in Constant Weight.
- National records including the following Italian records:
  1. 1. August 2009 Federico Mana -92 m in Free Immersion.
  2. 2. August 2009 Federico Mana -100 m in Constant Weight (the first Italian to reach a three-digit depth in Constant Weight).
- Competitive freediver in the BlueWorld Apnea Team;
- Long-term experience in the organization and direction of freediving courses;
- Trainer of BlueWorld's competitive Apnea Team.

Roberto Mattana (President - Facility and Course Manager), APNEA ACADEMY Instructor since 2006 and monofin instructor since 2007:
- In charge of Apnea Academy's Press Office and moderator of Apnea Academy's forum since 2008.
- He has been a staff member in some 20 freediving seminars, many of which were organized by champions of the stature of Umberto Pelizzari and Mike Maric.
- He collaborated with Mike Maric in the drawing up of Chapter 8 of "Learn the monofin", published by Magenes in 2012.
- He was a member of the board of judges at 2008, 2010 and 2012 Apnea Academy Instructor Courses.
- Long-term experience in the organization and direction of freediving courses central and southern Sardinia (Abbasanta -OR-, Cagliari, Selargius and Sestu -CA-) and in the organization of specialized conferences since 2008.
- Competitive freediver in the BlueWorld Apnea Team.

Emanuele Mannu (Manager), APNEA ACADEMY Instructor since 2012:
- He assisted AA Instructors on several occasions during freediving seminars in Santa Teresa di Gallura and Carloforte, Sardinia.
- He contributes to the Team with his expertise as a trainer and organizer of events.
- Long-term experience in the organization and direction
of freediving courses.
- Competitive freediver in the BlueWorld Apnea Team.
